Despite Apple iOS being considered as the most user friendly operating sytem, one thing that many still would love to see is the addition of a feature that enables users to create shortcuts. However, iPhone community relying on Jailbreak can use a new tweak called IconToggles provides users the ability to add upto 16 individual icons that appear like typical apps but is meant to give instant access to a number of different choices.

IconToggles runs only on jailbroken handsets, although use of shortcuts, for instance, initiating a new call will be restricted to the iPhone for apparent reasons. After installation, the jailbreak app will provide you with sixteen icons with the capability to add shortcuts for fast composing, SMS messaging or even making quick calls. The shortcut’s icons can also be set to access the power settings with instant access to reboots, resprings, and power downs in addition to being able to start or exit location services at the tap of an icon.

Having access to this type of features isn’t seriously new with lots of widgets for iOS Notification Center and other Cydia apps already providing this kind of thing. Other similar apps available on the Cydia is UsefulIcons, but the new IconToggles provides users with more options.

The app is available from the Big Boss repo and requires a jailbroken iOS device. However, the app is not free, and you will have to pay $0.99 to download and install it on your device.
