iPad mini Why iPad Mini? Against Google Nexus Tablet

Bloomberg and WSJ are in the lead reporting about the upcoming Apple’s iPad Mini, which will be inexpensive yet powered by hardware specs that will put similar Android tablets run for their money. According to the latest from the news sites, Apple is busy working on the smaller iPad and it will come as soon as this September. However, even if priced in the $250 to $299 range, a group of analysts are not positive about this Apple product.

The iPad mini with a display size of 7.85 inch and 1024×768 resolution is going to face the challenge from similarly sized Android and Amazon tablets, evolved to woo customers on the tight budget as Apple will find it hard fighting on that front. The Google Nexus 7 Tablet is definitely going to attract customers looking for branded tablet in the price range.

An Apple analyst with Piper Jaffray, shared a note with clients that Apple could bring approximately 6 million iPad minis to the market within next few months. The price tag of $299 for 16 GB model, is going to eat almost ten percent of its own iPad market share, but will ultimately hurt Android tablet by capturing almost 30 percent of the rival share.
