iOS 6 Jailbreak From iPhone Dev Team Via Redsn0w Developer Version
As already announced the Dev team has finally released the the iOS 6 jailbreak for developers who are currently in the position to install the new firmware. Despite earlier suggestions, iOS 6 jailbreak can be listed as one of the fastest tools released by the iPhone Dev team as they have managed to tame the new iOS within days of the official launch.
However, as the iOS 6 is still in beta and only developers are allowed to install it on their handset, it is surely not for the normal users as the following excerpt from the hacker’s blog explains:
THIS JAILBREAK Is meant jailbreak apps developers. Currently, the tool has has a lot of broken elements because of this it only intended for those truly planning to fix bugs in their iOS 6 jailbroken apps. You will not be able to install the Cydia as it has not been updated to work on the iOS 6.
This is a developer version of the Redsn0w and therefore, will not hactivate! Furthermore, this is iOS 6 tethered jailbreak only, and it uses geohot’s limera1n bootrom exploit.
Warning: Users relying on iOS 6 unlock should stay away in order to preserve their baseband as the update can spoil the chances of unlocking your iPhone using Ultrasn0w.
The new Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 will jailbreak iOS 6 beta running on following:
- iPhone 4(GSM)
- iPod touch 4G
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4(CDMA)
