Apple iOS 6 Secretly Added Color Adapting Feature And Decided Not To Reveal
Apple iOS 6 is bundled with more than two hundred features but still there are some that even Apple forgot to mention or decided in favor of not revealing the addition. Based on an article shared by the Reddit users, there is this iOS 6 hidden feature that makes status bar change colors automatically to match the running application.
Although this simple visual touch does not often work with all the apps, and therefore, the feature is probably left for the developers to be enabled for the third party apps. As you will notice in the images below the feature looks great, but some of the users might find it distracting, and it also does not help in enhancing the overall experience.
Folks at CultOfMac first published the find on Reddit, and since then the story is highlighted by all the big news media. In the screenshots even several of stock iOS 6 apps repeat this, like Mail and Settings that modify the color of the status bar to blue when in the front.
The third party apps that are supporting this iOS 6 color changing feature includes the latest Facebook Messenger and Skype apps.
