Apple Has Its 7.85″ iPad Mini In Its Lab: Rumor
Earlier, when New iPad was not launched, speculations circulating in the market were hinting that there may be two new iPads, one as the next-generation and another as the iPad Mini. However, at the launch, we got only New iPad, but now the iPad Mini rumors made a comeback a statement by John Gruber on his weekly 5by5 podcast with Dan Benjamin. He says that there is an iPad Mini in Apple’s lab featuring 7.85 inches display. He claims that he has got this info from some Apple insiders revealing that Apple is working over its iPad Mini.
However, it is not for the first time that iPad Mini is in the rumors, it has been a great part of rumors in the earlier months of this year. Now, Gruber adds some more weight to these iPad Mini speculations by giving his statement as follows:
“What I do know is that they have one in the lab, a 7.85? iPad that runs at 1024 x 768. And it’s just like the 9.7-inch iPad shrunk down a little bit The apps wouldn’t need to be redesigned or recompiled to work on it — it’s just the iPad smaller.”
The news does not end over here, as he says that this iPad Mini will not require to redesign the iPad apps to use on it, rather you will be allowed to use all existing iPad apps as they are on it. The iPad Mini was earlier reported by The New York Times claming that Apple will bring its smaller iPad to enter the market of small tablets.
Apple will launch its iPad Mini on WWDC as per the recent rumors. So, be ready to see a iPad Mini soon hitting the stores and to give a tough competition to the existing small tablets.
