Nowadays, when iPad 3 is in the hot rumors, and just a week away from its launch, we have received a latest news reporting about iPad mini featuring 7.85 inches display. This iPad mini is rumored to be launched later in the third quarter of this year.

This latest rumors on 7.85″ iPad mini comes from a post made by DigiTimes, it says:

“Makers in Apple’s iPad supply chain have started delivering samples of 7.85-inch iPads for verification, with volume production likely to begin in the third quarter of 2012 at the earliest, according to industry sources.

The planned launch of the 7.85-inch iPad is apparently to take on Amazon’s US$199 7-inch Kindle Fire as well as a comparable model from Barnes & Noble, although Apple already took up nearly a 60% share of the tablet PC market in 2011, indicated sources.

The price of the 7.85-inch iPad is likely to be set at US$249-299.”

This is not for the first time that an iPad mini is in the rumors as earlier back in previous rumors, sources were suggesting that Apple is to launch iPad 3 along with a iPad mini with 7″ screen. Now, these rumors are again in the lights but with a little change as now, rumors says that iPad mini will arrive in the third quarter of 2012, however, iPad 3 is to be launched by the end of this week.

Now, let’s have a glance on the expected price range. Apple to set US$ 249-299 for 7.85″ iPad mini and this will arrive later this year in the third quarter of 2012.
