Earlier, all the rumors on iPad 3, were indicating that Apple is to launch it in the February this year, However, as per the recent reports, the launch of the next-gen iPad is delayed and now expected to get announced by Apple in the first week of March. The top features making the upcoming tablet next-gen iPad are its awesome 2048 x 1536Retina displays with high-resolution along with a faster chip used making it to function fast.

The news is coming directly from a very reliable source known as AllThingsD, a blog which covers all the technology-related news. This time it targets the iPad 3, and says that it is to get launched in this March in the first week featuring Retina Display and use of Faster Chips.

Apple’s not holding an event in February. But it is holding one in March — to launch its next iPad.

Sources say the company has chosen the first week in March to debut the successor to the iPad 2, and will do so at one of its trademark special events.

Yesterday, we told you that Apple is going to bring the latest update to its existing operating system as iOS 5.1 on March 9th this year. Along with iOS 5.1, it was expected that Apple may announce the iPad 3 also at the same event to be held on the same day.
