Best Bumper Case For iPhone 4: Designed To Solve All Design Problems
Here we have a protection cover for your precious iPhone 4. It’s called the Vapor4 bumper and the case is made up of aluminium. But the best part is that it claims to solve most of iPhone’s design problems. iPhone 4 has generally reported problems of shattering, its metal rim causing interferences and besides Apple’s very own tiny bezel, made of plastic, offers no protection. So Vapor4 will solve all of these for you, but I guess you have to miss on the volume side buttons!
No doubt, in designs I would give it a 9 out of 10,( 9 because the logo “Vapor” is too big to be seen), but the price is pretty much high for just an aluminium case. The Vapor4 comes at a price of $80. However, if you could spend $20 more( $100), you also get the V4Carbon, a carbon fiber back plate that will further protect the iPhone 4 fragile glass back.
I know the price could seem a little steep to you, but anything that comes for an iPhone4 is special. Besides, this will help you to solve the antenna reception, shattering and call drop issues, what more do you need? The case has an interior liner that separates the metal from the antenna, insulating it. The manufacturer, who also made the beautiful Joule iPad stand, conducted a test which showed no more reception problems on iPhone 4 when this case was used. He was quoted:
“We basically wrapped it in an inch thick of anodized aluminum all around with our special secret liner inside, nothing impacted the reception.”

In the first look, I thought that this is a Ferrari car. But later on realized that this is iPhone. The design is good and awesome. The case can protect the phone from damage too, right?
The case is gorgeous. However it drop reception by about one bar and makes your GPS pretty much worthless. I liked mine so much, I considred getting a magellan car mount to offset teh GPS problem, but teh droped calls were too much to bear, so I sent it back. It appears the aluminium degrades the signal. I wish they’d make it ina material that did not degrade teh signal, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
