HTC Aria With Better Sense UI: Android Phone For AT&T
According to a Phonedog’s source, AT&T is presently working on a new handset, Aria which is suppose to carry Android 2.1 and is reportedly a HTC Android. The set is all set to make a public-preview on June 7th at an unnamed event, may be the iPhone day. Rumours are also out that it would be running the latest version “Sense”.
Now, rumours are always more than the actual news. News comes much later than the rumour….but much often these rumours turn true. Sites like phandroid and androidjunkies suggest that this could be the same QWERTY Android that AndroidForums.com member ‘maerlim‘ heard about from an HTC rep at Best Buy a few weeks back. He described the device as an upgraded Tilt with Android, but original impressions weren’t that great. We can’t speak on that, of course, but here’s hoping that all of this is true and that AT&T could be getting their first HTC phone with Android. Again, as said above, lets wait for the Original- Disclosure.
Now Phonedog’s is also preparing some pictures and specifications soon, may be then we can make a sure report on it. For now, this sounds a lot like the HTC-manufactured QWERTY Android we saw pass the FCC not too long ago that we once believed could be the already-announced HTC Wildfire, complete with AT&T-compatible data bands. June 7th is shaping up to be a crucial day for AT&T. I guess Apple WorldWide Developers Conference (WWDC) is also scheduled for June 7th. This means June 7th will be a great day in the Tech-World, so stay tuned with us on June 7th.
